Re: Journey Through The Past

Well, it took me all night to compile this list of my poems and put it chronological order, so I hope I didn't make any errors. My eyes are so tired I will have to fix any typos tomorrow. Let me know if you spot any... lol!!!
I got to thinking that it would be helpful if I could make this list and have clickable links, but links in the poems don't seem to work, so unless someone knows how to do that, I am not going to post the links, I just think it helps pot things in perspective, or retrospective, as the case may be...
Feel free to make suggestions. jj

Oh, by the way, the last aprt of the list shows S&W or P&P for the title of the book, "Seeds and Weeds", or "Passion & Pain", that the poem appears in, and in most cases, the chapter of the book it can be found in. Ones listed as Library are not in either book, just posted on-line. Ones that only show the book title are at the end of the book as bonus poems, as they were added tooo close to the date of publication and would have created major havock to fit them in the regular chapters. There's a lot of work in writing a book, even after aferything is written, even more work than typing all the poems!

Wow, I bet your eyes are tired after all of that Poetryman.
I'm not sure if there is a way to post an active link here.

Yea, I'm about to pass out. It's 5am... My hand even swelled up on me, lol. Not funny actually, I was a little worried I was going to have to call 911 or something. never hand my hand swell up from typing, but it has since gone back down. That was kinda freeky! I don't know exactly how many poems that is and I know there are a few missing, maybe half a dozen or so I have to dig out of the boxes in the basement. Oh well, not now, I am going to sleep. Have a wonderful daylight.... jj

Indeed, and speaking of a while, where have you been? Nice to see you back. jj
re: re: Re: Journey Through The Past
I haven't had power for the past 10 or so days, because of a storm we had... Thankfully, late this evening, it came back on, so I can enjoy DU once again... It's nice to be back.

Oh wow, I saw some stuff on the news about that but didn't know you were in that. It was like a hundred degrees there, wasn't it? We were in the 90's up here and it was unbarrable.
I hope it wasn't too bad there, but how did you eat?

re: re: re: re: Re: Journey Through The Past
Haha yes, I was. It got to about 101-2 degrees maybe. How did I eat? Well cooked outside in the mornings and before it got dark on the grill. Kept everything in coolers with plenty of ice.... which took forever to find, because none of the stores had ice, or if so, they had already ran out by the time we got there... but overall it wasn't that bad. ... except for the unbearable heat...

it's funny, for tens of thousands of years we had no such thing as electricity, a hundred years of it and we forget how to survive.
Well I am glad you figured it out and are ok.
I've been all flustered cos I have a bad internet connection tonight and have to keep refreshing pages and resetting my modem. Kudows to you! etc.

Ahhh yes I am fine... I'm much more thankful for power now.... And yes I hate those dreaded days where your internet connection is bad and you have to reload and refresh everything. It can get quite frustrating. Hope you get through it with as little frustrations and problems as possible.
etc! hahaha

thanks. oh, I see you have a new pic posted, subtle differences but you always look EMO, lol! I always look old in mine, so I hardly ever change it. etc.
re: Re: Journey Through The Past
I always look EMO???..... Lol! That's too funny. Im usually told that. Well, most of the time, it's goth, but I get the occasional emo... I prefer unique, because I dont like sterotypes... Just my way of style I suppose.... and hah! well I've never seen yours change. Old shouldnt be "old". May I suggest it be considered as "wiser".

LOL! Yes, but only because your one eye is covered in all your pics with what appears to be black hair. That says EMO to me, hahaha!!! But I'm just an old man, wiser than all the world but I don't seem to be able to make any money being so, LOL... Still, it sounds nicer when you say it, so wiser it is, etc. I wonder what would happen if I posted an old pic of me here from when I was younger. Probably get kicked off the site, lol...

Yes the hair over the one eye look... I love my side bangs and layers... My hair isn't black!....well anymore. LOl! It actually faded to a dark brown, but in my pictures it looks black. So I guess yes that combined with my eyeliner makes me appear "EMO", but alas, I am only myself and nothing more, nothing less.... and you actually changing your picture!? Wow! It would be quite a surprise (since this is the only one I've ever seen on here), however change can be good at times.

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!! I better not leave that up too long, people will think there is a new member here... I was about 20 or 21 in that pic. Look at all that brown hair, OMG, what I wouldn't do to be young again, HA!

Even older, or younger depending on how you look at it. I was 16 in that one. That was taken in South Carolina by my oldest brother who had just graduated from USC and we were all down there visiting. I love that pic, one of my all time favs... etc

yea, we even had color film back in them thar days. the 80's were a colorful time... I am not gonna leave that on there, I must have some other pic of my old decaying self I can stick on there, but my computer keeps going off line and I just spent the past 10 minutes trying to get back on line. I called Road Runner and they don't know what's wrong.

Yea, I will, but I thought I'd have some fun with it. I like that pic, I remember that day well. That was actually in a park in North Carolina that we visited that day, but were staying in Columbia, SC for my brother's graduation. The shirt I am wearing had a picture of a pair of sneakers and it looks like I am running on the water, or windsurfing above it. I guess I was pretty fast when I was 16, lol... Jumpin Joe J

Wow Jess, I was just looking back into my old posts and found these. Had fun reading hem. I think we first met here on June 23rd 2012. It doesn't feel that long ago, but then five years is really just a drop in the bucket... jj
