Flashing Back
Flashing Back
I recall back to when life was simple and cute,
When emotions exploded and
Thoughts weren’t mute.
Back to when ignorance was bliss,
Lying in the grass,
Until night came just to
Sleep under the moonlight’s kiss.
Ahh those were the days of glory,
We were oblivious to
Politics, religions and
Wars slowly becoming
Too prolonged and much too gory.
We were too awesome to care,
Yet one word from Mom and Dad
And we’d all run in scared.
“Stupid kids and their rebellious ways”
How we enjoyed making grown ups crazy.
Man, seriously those thoughts
Have me flashing back…
To my good old days.
I recall back to when life was simple and cute,
When emotions exploded and
Thoughts weren’t mute.
Back to when ignorance was bliss,
Lying in the grass,
Until night came just to
Sleep under the moonlight’s kiss.
Ahh those were the days of glory,
We were oblivious to
Politics, religions and
Wars slowly becoming
Too prolonged and much too gory.
We were too awesome to care,
Yet one word from Mom and Dad
And we’d all run in scared.
“Stupid kids and their rebellious ways”
How we enjoyed making grown ups crazy.
Man, seriously those thoughts
Have me flashing back…
To my good old days.
