Every night
I admire you without fail
Always have growing up.
I used to chase you
During road trips
While my dad drove the car.
“Faster dad, faster
She is winning the race”
I chanted with childish vigor.
Even now as an adult
I look up to you
With such beauty who wouldn’t.
You’re my solace when I need comfort
You’re my courage when I need confidence
You’re the reason why I look at the night sky.
