The voice of an aborted child
Would you remember me?
If I could be a bird that dances with the trees,
The wind that blows away your tears,
The bees that hunts for your sweets?
Would you remember me?
If I could be the pillow you hold on tight,
The blanket that wraps you at night,
The moon that you love to have a sight?
Or would you remember me?
If you choose to let me live,
The baby you gave to defeat,
The child you forsake and killed?
But I will forever remember,
The soft touch of your womb,
The caress you gave me when you're doomed,
The memories I have while I'm inside you...
Please remember,
Despite the life you forbid,
The pain on my tiny arms you feed,
No matter what you did...
I'll still be your little angel,
I'll laugh with you when you're happy,
Hug you tight when you're weary,
Mama, I love you so much...
If I could be a bird that dances with the trees,
The wind that blows away your tears,
The bees that hunts for your sweets?
Would you remember me?
If I could be the pillow you hold on tight,
The blanket that wraps you at night,
The moon that you love to have a sight?
Or would you remember me?
If you choose to let me live,
The baby you gave to defeat,
The child you forsake and killed?
But I will forever remember,
The soft touch of your womb,
The caress you gave me when you're doomed,
The memories I have while I'm inside you...
Please remember,
Despite the life you forbid,
The pain on my tiny arms you feed,
No matter what you did...
I'll still be your little angel,
I'll laugh with you when you're happy,
Hug you tight when you're weary,
Mama, I love you so much...
