What They See
they see my scars
they see the anger that is never far
they see my nose, they see my eyes
and if I let them they see some of my lies
my heart is breaking
they don't see me aching
that I'm not looking for a fight
but I will stand up for myself and others
I won't let the darkness drown me
I won't lay down to die
I won't let you hurt me no you won't ever see me cry
I won't make the mistake of trusting anyone fully and completely again

I can relate to this the difference is darkness has already taken over for me and now I can't even trust myself I end up lonely either way
