Now and Then - You and Me
Tried to achieve what was already taken,
Mending things that were desperately broken.
Wanted to defeat loneliness with communion,
Realised soon; they were happy without this union.
Entered a room having no exit door,
Repenting on the decision- why I desired more.
The distance increased with every next step,
Listened to lies, ignoring truths like a deaf.
Mistakes, mistakes- roads to wisdom,
A broken path- when willingly forwent freedom.
A whole new world was made clear;
Made of stone, caged within a mirror.
Found You, losing myself in Me;
Vanished within the darkness of a dream.
Bondage was that union, prison-house was that room;
A dark cave was that world- a mirror of gloom.
Prevailed the darkness of You, over My sparkling dream;
You, You, and You; there left no Me!
The time is Now to break free from that union, that room;
That world, that mirror, that darkness, that dream-
That You, that Me.
Mending things that were desperately broken.
Wanted to defeat loneliness with communion,
Realised soon; they were happy without this union.
Entered a room having no exit door,
Repenting on the decision- why I desired more.
The distance increased with every next step,
Listened to lies, ignoring truths like a deaf.
Mistakes, mistakes- roads to wisdom,
A broken path- when willingly forwent freedom.
A whole new world was made clear;
Made of stone, caged within a mirror.
Found You, losing myself in Me;
Vanished within the darkness of a dream.
Bondage was that union, prison-house was that room;
A dark cave was that world- a mirror of gloom.
Prevailed the darkness of You, over My sparkling dream;
You, You, and You; there left no Me!
The time is Now to break free from that union, that room;
That world, that mirror, that darkness, that dream-
That You, that Me.
