Don't Trust A Soul
I roam in the dark, all alone
The patter of footsteps, the lurking of ghosts
In a whisper I ask who’s there
In the wind a voice, something I can barely hear
It whispers to me, sweet words of remorse
I’ll take you away young child, along with your soul of course
The next thing I know my soul has come up, my lifeless body is covered with dust
The ghost next to me giggles, with a sneer on their face
They disappear without a trace, looking down at the corpse
It’s hands rise up, with life in course
A giggle sounds through my ears
The voice of the ghost escape those lips
The body speaks to me shallow words
I got trapped just like you were, now it’s your turn
A trick by a ghost, or a demon at that
I’m left to wander the earth in search for another traveler to steal and make them collapse.
