Mirrored
This mirror I hold dear
For in this mirror is my dear
So please tell them who you are
Are you me or am I you?
In this darkness I hold my dear
My dear is me and I am her’s
With skeptical eyes you look at me
Why do you look at me this way, my dear?
Am I not good enough for you?
Have I not been faithful to you?
I look after you every day
So you ignore me, my dear..
In my hand a rock I hold
To strike my dear and reform her new
But my dear was me so in pieces I lay
Upon this stone cold floor
For in this mirror is my dear
So please tell them who you are
Are you me or am I you?
In this darkness I hold my dear
My dear is me and I am her’s
With skeptical eyes you look at me
Why do you look at me this way, my dear?
Am I not good enough for you?
Have I not been faithful to you?
I look after you every day
So you ignore me, my dear..
In my hand a rock I hold
To strike my dear and reform her new
But my dear was me so in pieces I lay
Upon this stone cold floor
