Hold my hand (Blues)

If you don’t  know,  I’m hurtin, wont ya come down this road with me?
Yes ma’am you know I am hurtin’.  Won’t you hold my hand, and uh come on down with me?
I’ll be your friend; won’t ya be my friend too?
I am just hurtin, more than I knew
I don’t want to be hurtin, no more but I need you to lean.
Lean to my side my friend, cause I need to bear my weight on you.

My soul has wounds deep mhm
My soul has wounds for the things I know I’ve done
help me free my soul, that was not me, Lord, that was not me
I just want to be at peace, ask the Lord to take me home

Now you know I’m hurtin’ wont you come down this road with me?
Now you know I’m a hurtin’, wont you hold my hand and uh come down this road with me.
I need a friend, do you too? I’ll be there for you
I don’t want to be hurtin’, Can I lean on you my friend?
I am just hurtin’ I hope it is soon through.

I need your love every day, to be free. I need your love with me ’til my dying day
Your kind soul will mend mine, ‘cause uh mine’s open wide
So wont you lean with me friend to help me bear, bear this weight that’s down on me.
Would you hold my heart and my hand, wont you walk with me down this road of mine
Thank you for being my friend, without you I would have surely gone away
