Beauty...?
What is beauty?
A means of success? I think not.
A way of grasping another's attention? Sometimes, but not solely.
No, “beauty” is society's way of torturing us.
To make us hate ourselves, each other, and the world around us.
To kill us from the inside out, as we are trying to change ourselves to be accepted.
Real beauty is not tan skin, hairless legs, thin stomachs, or a big butt and boobs to match.
It is not short dresses, high heels, expensive jewelry, caked-on makeup, or fancy hair.
No matter how cliché it sounds, I say it now, and I will say it a thousand times more:
True beauty is none of that. True beauty is kindness, respect, joy, honesty, courage, sympathy, and love.
An “ugly” face is always better than a truly ugly soul.
You are beautiful, and denial of such a fact is simply insane.
Always stay beautiful.
