Before You Let It Show

After all the wear and tear
your heart has decided it won't be shared.
You decide to hide somewhere safe
no one will see you sad in that place.
Pretend it does not matter to you anymore
so you go out, and find the cheapest whore.
To get your mind off the hurt
but there is nothing in her eyes for you to curiously search.
So instead you walk by
after your third try.
You really don't want that though
you never do, but you try to not let it show.
You just want to get your mind off of it all
because you're tired of being so high, only to soon fall.
That is love though
because there is no love without pain and hate, we have all been through it, we all know
Do not get caught up on that one person
because after all the hurt and pain, we usually see it is not worth it
Love is not only to others though
you must love your self, before others see it show.
