The Little Girl Who Noticed

First day of school
Didn't know where to go
Trying to act cool
So that my fear wouldn't show

The new kid again
And as scared as can be
You would think this feeling would mend
But no, all I I wanted to do was flee

Then you came along 
As happy as can be
You came with a greeting 
"Hi, wanna come sit by me?" 

The first person to notice 
I was standing alone
Of course I said yes, 
But in a little shy moan

We went through so much
Helped each other till the end 
But then I had to leave you
I had to leave my best friend

Not a word to each other 
Not a word for 3 years
Then high school comes along
And I almost bursted in tears

There you were sitting in home ec
I Recognized you instantly for you hadn't changed a bit
Though we're not the best of friends we still get along
And I believe we can stay this way if nothing goes wrong
