Is that a chip on your shoulder?
You've got it-
everything I had.
That's not so much-
how very sad.
I hope it licks of condemning delay,
to know that once I felt that way,
that way your singed heart - so divine,
broke melodies of breath on mine
that skin of mine you swallowed whole,
asphyxiated to your soul
that lip of passion, now of blood,
stayed regardless of the thud
that chip that moved from shoulder to tooth,
took with it my last slap of remaining truth.
Please, take it, please-
so divine.
You've got it-
my broken back and spine.
everything I had.
That's not so much-
how very sad.
I hope it licks of condemning delay,
to know that once I felt that way,
that way your singed heart - so divine,
broke melodies of breath on mine
that skin of mine you swallowed whole,
asphyxiated to your soul
that lip of passion, now of blood,
stayed regardless of the thud
that chip that moved from shoulder to tooth,
took with it my last slap of remaining truth.
Please, take it, please-
so divine.
You've got it-
my broken back and spine.
