Pigs Masquerading As Chivalrous Gentlemen

Slight of hand, twists of fate
So many things in life to contemplate
What is real, what is fake
My mind reels with every second of
every breath of my destined fate
I’ve had my fill of all the men in this world
past, present and future it seems
Got no more time to waste on anymore meaningless
first dates
These men seem to turn out the same whether I meet
them on my own or set up on a blind date
Pigs masquerading as chivalrous gentlemen
Feeding me the fat instead of the meat
I’ll now wait to be discovered if in fact there is still
A chance that a ‘Mr. Right’ my ultimate soul mate truly
does exist
One can still hope right???
But I have got to do something about this philosophy of mine
Trust and believe in no man that comes
along
Seems I’m setting myself up for failure with this little ditty
always rambling on in my mind
My life’s not over yet I feel it has just begun
I hope that the positive energy in another I crave can somehow
smash through the negative I seem to exude even if it only happens in my mind
