The Legend of The Sunbather

She looks so regal
Sitting there in the middle of the room with the sun shining on her
With her six-toed paws flat on the floor in front of her
White and gray fur freshly manicured and puffed out
Mewing very politely for her dinner to be served two hours early
A few minutes go by and she realizes this tactic has stalled
She commences phase two
Purring up a storm and rubbing excessively all round
My legs are pushed with affection but I know it’s just a ploy
She's wearing me down
Her meows grow more desperate as if she hasn’t eaten in days
My resolve is slipping but my boyfriend caves first
He stands and grabs her food dish
