Spring Changes
Tears of fire on red hot cheeks
April's new blooms burned underfoot
Sweet jasmine wafting through the warming air
Smothered by the smog of burning tar
Fawns drink the cool waters of the babbling brook
Where the beasts of night devour them
New beginnings meet new ends
A tale as old as time is made anew
First smiles and first kisses change with the seasons
But love cannot dampen
That passionate flame of hate
