Show & Tell

A puppet and puppeteer.
Is what this story is about here.
Imagine a lively puppet with light blue eyes.

Her pink dress,now fantasize.
You pull by her strings,to force her into doing things.
The puppet asks you,is this not enough?

What do you want of me,and aren't I tough?
The puppeteer pulled her strings.
The kids brought her to show and tell.

They showed it to the teacher, and the kids liked it well.
She is on display for all of them to see.
The story behind her wood is snot something you can clearly see.

Harsh words if you don't get to play with her strings.
But she was built for those things.
Afterall,it's just a puppet.

Maybe a figure of speech.
You won't hear me,even if I screech.
But even puppets have will to live.

And can still as humanely grieve.
Maybe the puppet was once a human being.
But the puppeteer made it into one of his own.

As a product to society.
When you see a puppet, what do you think?
Is she a human being,or just what they think?

The kids begged and cried for more.
Yet the puppet was on the floor.
Why is it so hard to see?

That she is human, like you and me?
It doesn't matter the gender.
The gender or the minimal wage.

Sometimes,we are all like like puppets on a stage.
Living off minimal wage.
Show and tell, for everyone to see.

With strings, attached to you and me.
Show and tell, can't you hear me?
Why do you laugh at me and not even fear me?

Imperfect and human are we.
Some of us want to cut off the strings.
Live freely and spread our wings.

There are strangers taking pictures when i ask no more.
And yet,I am collapsed onto the floor.
It can be hard to tell just how you feel.

Because they may throw you away like a banana peel.
I'm just like you, you're just like me.
Nobody is perfect, imperfect and human are we.

I just want you to try and see through a victim's eyes.
Quit the abuse and apologize.
Show and tell, can you hear me?

And why am I wishing you could fear me?
I'm just like you, you're like me.
Broken,living on a screen.

Run on gasoline.
Art don't sell.
Unless you pay them well.

""Buy and sell.
If you just look and pay well.
Like a puppet,living in strings.
Forced to do all kinds of things.""
