The darkness in light
You who knew my heart so true, with its dues,
and the pain ensued; or trials of youth.
The new cauterized wounds forced me to sooth,
an aching soul that knew nothing but blues.
An end from this man’s constant self abuse,
or perhaps it’s reliance on vermouth.
Even though i want a feeling of ruth,
I've felt my feelings might have been obtuse.
And from the darkness you showed me heaven.
A new found light to wash my body;
perhaps, I've reached the peak of Mt. Evans,
or my flesh has formed a fit so gaudy.
Clock hand’s strike not midnight but eleven;
therefore, a man once more I embody.
and the pain ensued; or trials of youth.
A new found light to wash my body;
perhaps, I've reached the peak of Mt. Evans,
or my flesh has formed a fit so gaudy.
Clock hand’s strike not midnight but eleven;
therefore, a man once more I embody.
