Toothpaste We Can't Put Back In

Stupidity is contagious      
Stupidity is spread      
Ignorance is ostentatious      
And ignorance is bred      
We say what we want
Irregardless of facts      
We worship as servants     
While our hatred attracts      
Other people like minded      
No one thinks for themselves      
The system keeps us divided      
And we no longer delve      
Into information to learn      
Or things that really matter      
We'd rather the world burn      
And be torn and tattered      
We live in our hatred      
While being self centered      
This fear generated      
By the ones that mentored      
Influenced by fake news      
Brainwashed by social media      
These really are my own views      
And what's an encyclopedia     
No empathy remains      
And compassion is lacking      
Even when it's explained      
We're constantly attacking      
Judgements of faith and race      
Stereotypes and prejudice      
We have become a disgrace      
Afraid everyone's our nemesis      
We've lost our credibility      
Its now impossible to win      
Ignorance and stupidity      
Toothpaste we can't put back in
