prodigal son

beneath the molten surface
where shadows reign
I slipped thru brick and brimstone
when the devil stepped away

no plans for rebellion
just mayhem and  mischief
sweet and fleetin
his scepter caught my eye
I claimed it as my right

the succubi recognized me
eyes darkenin with memory
bodies archin in welcome
to my inevitable return

“the prodigal son” I announced myself
sprawled across his throne
legs spread wide
reclaimin familiar territory

demons bowed with practiced ease
whisperin "he walks among us again”
disloyal and quick to shift allegiance
when the devil turns his back

one succubus knelt before me
mouth began to worship
her gaze never waverin as pleasure rose
this round belonged to me alone

“he’s forgotten how to please you”
I told his abandoned followers
lettin eager hands and tongues
pay their tribute

I was deep in unholy communion
when he appeared in fire and fury
his harem wrapped round my mortal body
loyalty transferred by touch

“you again” he growled with burnin eyes
takin in the scene before him
“what brings you here this time?
another spiritual awakenin?”

“welcome to my homecomin”
I gesture with one hand
other guidin the succubus at my feet
catchin his glance I smirk
“I’d satisfy your needs too
if you’d surrender some control”

temptation flashed across his face
then erupted into rage
“enough” he roared shakin foundations
blood drippin from his clenched fists

his pitchfork flew past my head
embedded into his throne
guards tore into my flesh
as they drug me toward exile

the succubus who worshiped
from her knees
reached out with desperate hands
and eyes that promised
this game wasn’t over

“your loss” I spat out
thru broken teeth and a laugh
“but remember this moment
while they’re screamin my name
while servicin you…forgotten god”

I’ve returned to hauntin earthly hours
collectin scars from unsuccessful deaths
expelled from paradise
sulfur still lingerin on my skin

he can banish me from hell
but can’t deny where I belong
next time we’ll play by different rules
see who’s really in control
