Tired Eyes
Been traveling this highway a lifetime
Avoiding conflict that rubbed me numb
Needing momentum to make the climb
Painfully living under the tyrants thumb
Tired eyes observe the horror take hold
Human sacrifice to appease a false king
Hell is witnessing innocence being sold
While a jester bows to kiss a phony ring

"Been walking my mind to an easy time, my back turned towards the sun
Lord knows when the cold wind blows it'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line to talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground."

What a profound and hard hitting piece, my friend. From what I hear (mainly from my sister) it's going down rapidly :-( Know you and everyone else affected are in my prayers.

This kind of describes the madness of the world. I definitely have "tired eyes," heh. The thing about faith is that it's an endurance of patience. One must persevere to the end, as life really is a struggle, if you have any conscience. Good job.

Once the rot sets in, it eats until it runs out or is cut off. Hatred & greed are viruses. But love & compassion are the antidote. Grow your tribe. That's how we root it out. Together is so much stronger than apart

We must learn what the horrible people learn, and then we must foray into more edificatory terrain, if we are ever to expect anything better.
