Allegory of the Apart
A torn pair of leather shoes
debris in the hall;
Remnants of the long-lost youth.
Broken grass beneath the benches in the park
high heels, low smile
black shoes, red bruise
Enigmatic shyness in the eyes
Veils the irresistible craving;
the fountain of lust.
Two unknowns must know
who is the foe and who will
slowly step onto the toes of another
to stand face-to-face with an absolute alien
All abode where everything is immaterial
All abide by all things material
Strangers and strange in the most unfamiliar way
Lovers are strangers in the most intimate way
debris in the hall;
Remnants of the long-lost youth.
Broken grass beneath the benches in the park
high heels, low smile
black shoes, red bruise
Enigmatic shyness in the eyes
Veils the irresistible craving;
the fountain of lust.
Two unknowns must know
who is the foe and who will
slowly step onto the toes of another
to stand face-to-face with an absolute alien
All abode where everything is immaterial
All abide by all things material
Strangers and strange in the most unfamiliar way
Lovers are strangers in the most intimate way
