A stare stabbed me
A stare stabbed me
From some random direction.
It tore through my peace;
I flinched in confusion.
There - a horned owl's eyes
Proved to be the weapon -
Looming large, heavily;
Talons gripped the branch.
Through a pane of glass -
We looked at each other.
I was not going outside
Best as I could discern.
From some random direction.
It tore through my peace;
I flinched in confusion.
There - a horned owl's eyes
Proved to be the weapon -
Looming large, heavily;
Talons gripped the branch.
Through a pane of glass -
We looked at each other.
I was not going outside
Best as I could discern.
