Recolets

I remember how yesterday you were beautiful,
dressed in white, I burned with love for you.

The mornings are cruel when the dawn breaks,
next to you you have an empty bed.
You think you are perhaps the last,
but you don't give up.
It's raining, trickles down the window,
a nice rain has started outside.
All that's left are memories.

I remember how yesterday,
I felt like a poet.
You dress in the dark,
only I know who waters your flowers.

only rain.

The mornings are cruel when the dawn breaks,
next to you you have an empty bed.
You think you are perhaps the last,
but you don't give up.
It's raining, trickles down the window,
a nice rain has started outside.
All that's left are memories.

You remember like it was yesterday,
no, don't cry anymore.
