Quake
inside the the storm I reside
anxiety thunders and fear quakes
the darkness glowers
and lightening cracks bones
demons cower from the beast that haunts my vision
I hide my fear
you won't get any respect from the powers that be that way
sacred art concealing oneself
sunshine in a glance will disarm you
a big smile grows sharp teeth
honey you're just too sweet
how I got in with the dank of realtiy I don't know
dreadful, I know first hand what exists in the shadows
reeling understanding i yearn to get it
the answers, you know, to the bigger questions
I know I'm in the hands of something bigger than me
I've met him in dreamtime
everything is beautifully decorated
it's hiding something dark
sleek introspection i see it and so do you
we pretend it isn't there
and then celebrate it on the news
why? it gives it more power to cause fear
it's a machine that consumes innocence
some things I've learned in this life
I was better off not knowing
grim thoughts. I am a specter of who I once was
