My Sky Has Fallen

Surrender was my problem
Guess I have it bad
No idea really
I would end up such a sad lad

"Mercury falling
I rise from my bed
Collect my thoughts together
I have to hold my head"

Put my faith totally
In the power of the love
Such a nice fit
Thought she was sent from some power above

"It seems that she's gone
Leaving me too soon
I'm as dark as December
I'm as cold as the Man in the Moon"

At first I thought should I plead
But I know not what I did
See her in his arms
In dejection my face I hid

"I walk through the day
My coat around my ears
I look for my companion
I have to dry my tears"

Heart strings are torn
From what seems a million cuts
Those things that made me happy
No relief in a major rut

"I can't make up the fire
The way that she could
I spend all my days
In the search for dry wood"

Time is suppose to heal
Like the pain that clouds my eyes
Wonder if any brain cell still works
Maybe from the start to myself I lied

So I will just ask you
With any motion you engage
Be oh so patient
As I try to turn a page...
