Different Now

I'm starting to see things a little different now.
The older I get, the more difficult it gets, to try to forget, about the thing that you did.
I'm like, fucking wow.
I use to think that you were the one, but this is no longer what I would call fun.
I see that this ain't what I thought that was love.
I wish that I could, but I can't.
I wish that you would, but you ain't.
The time that we wasted is gone.
There's no need to keep this lie going on.
The beat has done faded out of this song.
Walking away, distance is gained with each step that we take.
Stay on your side and I'll stay in my lane.
I promise this is for both of our sakes.
One day at a time, I know we both will be fine.
I've got to keep you off and out of my mind.
The pain that you left, I have got to get over myself.
Holding back tears, facing my fears. Pushing on forward to get out of the clear.
