Embrace the Warmth

Daylight comes with a slow sunrise to bring fourth warm kisses upon the earth.
With a open heart and closed eyes you will feel all it has to offer.
The Sun made it's way across a dark void to find the Earth.
It seen a world in destress and shines his light upon her.
She started to come to life, the water started to flow beneath the ice.
She liked the way it felt, but couldn't understand why.
So she moved away and and the coldness took over and the water froze back.
The Sun just watched from a distance. Waiting and understanding.
It wasn't his time to shine up on this world.
Time passes and he moved closer once more.
She felt the warmth and took it in for a moment longer than before.
This time when the water slowly started to thaw the ice that covered it began to crack.
Once again she repositioned herself and all froze up once more, leaving only the cracks along the top of the ice.
The Sun just stayed back and watched once more, for she wasn't ready for his warmth just yet.
The Earth turned to the old Moon and asked.
Why does the Sun keep doing that?
The Moon replied.
He See's what you can be with his warmth.
Your water will melt and flow and life will start to grow.
It will be a very slow process and this he knows.
He has looked past the clouds you shield yourself with and sees something that none of the other stars out here has seen.
The Earth tells the Moon that's more than I deserve.
The Moon's reply was, this is exactly what you deserve.
It will feel quite odd for awhile and it will be overwhelming at times.
But that Sun will learn your season's and stand with you for the rest of time.
In the beginning it was a rocky start, those clouds would open the Sun would shine just as bright as he possibly could.
And when those clouds would close back up the Earth would hold all of that warmth.
And as time moved on the Earth started to see that the Sun was true to his word.
With morning kisses to welcome the day and goodnight kisses to welcome the night.
And always be the warmth that she needs no matter the season that she is in.
