Prisoner in my mind
I was being held a prisoner
Not sure where, but I couldn't escape
The shadow was tormenting me, telling me I was going to die
There was no apparent motive or reasoning behind this statement
I saw a knife
It looked more like a blade
A blade you would see in those machine shops, cutting lumber
My hands and legs were chained
Someone stood behind me holding my head back
This person kept whispering, "You are going to die, You are going to die"
I began to tear up thinking, "What can I possibly do to get out of this dilemma and survive?"
As the shadow with the knife was about to cut open my throat
I said to myself, "I can get out of this jam by waking up"
I yelled out loud, "WAKE UP!!"
And I did
I opened my eyes
The torture was over
I survived....this time around
Not sure where, but I couldn't escape
The shadow was tormenting me, telling me I was going to die
There was no apparent motive or reasoning behind this statement
I saw a knife
It looked more like a blade
A blade you would see in those machine shops, cutting lumber
My hands and legs were chained

I began to tear up thinking, "What can I possibly do to get out of this dilemma and survive?"
