Walk into this nearly midnight sea with me
as icy drops speak in whispers on my reddened cheeks
as wild winds rush harshly with the gently roaring waves
rushing fast across these salty puddled tidelands

Feel how the peace cuts deep
Hear how the silence echoes
Reminiscences of love

that now stiffen, frozen by cold winds of another year
