Cold September Night
She walks out
On this cold
September night
Barefoot
With barely anything
To cover her
Her bare feet
Touch the cool ground
And send chills
Down her body
She takes
Another step
And it gets colder
Her breath
Comes out like ice
She covers herself
The best she can
Her parents
Kicked her out
Of her home
And on the streets
Nobody
Will take her
Into there home
She goes to a tree
That she remembers
And sees the initials
Still carved into it
A tear rolls down
Her angel face
He was her first
And her last
She rested her tired head
And froze
To death
In her sleep
On this cold
September night
Barefoot
With barely anything
To cover her
Her bare feet
Touch the cool ground
And send chills
Down her body
She takes
Another step
And it gets colder
Her breath
Comes out like ice
She covers herself
The best she can
Her parents
Kicked her out
Of her home
And on the streets
Nobody
Will take her
Into there home
She goes to a tree
That she remembers
And sees the initials
Still carved into it
A tear rolls down
Her angel face
He was her first
And her last
She rested her tired head
And froze
To death
In her sleep
