Tempting Death

When I’m loathing life’s vinyl,
Held in the palms of tender hands,
There, in my darkest corners
He lured me to the pit with bait.

Swept off my feet with a spell,
Submissive to his sweet enticement
Enthralling me with ease,
Drawn to the taste of cate.

Blinded by hypnosis,
An enticing silk to veil my eyes,
Seeing only his annihilating beauty,
Wrecked, he took my sight.

With his dulcet words,
Seducing me to the edge,
Drunk on this curse
Of how tempting death felt.

He, my demise.
I, his prey.
In a game of cat and mouse.
