Merry Christmas

Everyone wants to live forever
Trying to avoid the great unknown
Castles of silver, streets of gold
The doubts permeate your mind
Was I good enough to make it in
Or was my life to abundant with sin
Will I rise up to the heavens
Or fall to that boiling lake of fire
Will I come back as a butterfly
Or a pig fattened for slaughter
Maybe there's nothing
Spirits floating around with
Zero, zilch, nada to do
Or maybe I could be stuck in purgatory
With noone to free me
If I am reincarnated
I'd want to be a cow in India
But the only certain thing in life
Is death

As for me I know there was only one
Who split time, B.C - A.D.
God sending his son, Jesus Christ
Born to a virgin in a lowly stable
To a weary world
This man living a perfect life
Free from sin, in his mercy
Gave his life for my sins
And then three days later
Rose from the grave
Appearing to many people
Before ascending to heaven
And as his followers we should
Try to spread his message of
Love and mercy to everyone
Everyone has sinned and noone
Is worthy of God's mercy
Yet he still gives it freely
No matter your past transgressions
He offers his forgiveness and mercy
Freely
All you have to do is ask him into
Your heart and try to seek him daily
I am by no means perfect
And still sin everyday
But I know through God's great mercy
He has forgiven me and
When my life on this earth is over
I will be with him in heaven

Let's not forget the reason for the season
Leave Christ in Christmas
