My Values
I value compassion over shaming others. I try to listen and never judge. Everyone has their lot in life, let's just put it that way.
I value meeting people where they're at, not forcing them to where they could be. I think in order to truly change someone is to get in the mud with them. Not to do what manipulative people like Lenny did, saying I have a victim mentality. I've learned screaming and saying trite generic sayings like "don't give up!" or "be positive" won't help anyone. I know this from personal experience. Had a girl in a support group even thank me. It's powerful the art of not trying to fix or change someone else's experience.
I value unconventional ideas as long as they're reasonable and for a right cause.
I value sex positivity and the European way of looking way at things with sex and nudity.
I value the rights of gays and other minorities. But I do value not having to tip toe around someone and give them special treatment.
I value in the 90s way, without censorship. But also I value censorship...to a point.
I value transparency even with kids (although tailored to their age).
I value listening to people's trauma past thinking how it triggers you. Pure and selfless.
I value in saving the impossible and uplifting the outcasts.
I value in giving everyone the equal right to experience their pain. I sometimes resent being abused while others have privileges I didn't. But still, I don't wish to take their hurtful experiences away from them ever. Suicide is real, and people deserve to be heard.
I value in authenticity even to the point of breaking arbitrary rules. I think Reddit hates me by now lol.
I value not getting involved politically and getting clouded by biases.
I value both intuition and logic. I value both spirituality and heavy skepticism.
I value beauty not in the shallow sense, but rather in inner beauty and ethereal things over memes for example.
But I do value daring, salty humor.
And lastly, I value love. Unconditional love that transcends differences in beliefs, attitudes, and more.
