Hallows eve not

Hallows eve after dark.
The sky a darker midnight blue.
Half moon hidden behind clouds.
All souls day not.
Just the closest, sat eve.

I heard fireworks earlier.
Sitting with a glass on the hill.
Not a breath of wind nor breeze.
Silence like death quiet as the grave.
Broken only by an electric taxi going by

My thoughts drifted on Halloween.
Atmosphere in the air enhanced the vibe.
The town below would be a riot of folk.
Dressed as if attacked.
By a carnival passing bye.

Bye cried the carnival as it moves on.
like the ferry man waving goodbye.
So celebrate drink & be merry.
Cause time is drifting bye .
The grave is near each breath.

So party on folks, enjoy while you can.
Remember, i'm here all week, try the mead.....
