What Then?
…and if I met you at our corner,
standing in front of the theater
on the rainiest day of Spring,
what then?
would you remember how
you loved me
hand in hand, eyes locked
once upon a silver screen?
and if I told you that I’ve loved you
since then; heart exposed
naked and shivering
while raindrops raised cold chills
upon my skin;
what then?
would you offer your love at last
…or just your umbrella?
standing in front of the theater
on the rainiest day of Spring,
what then?
would you remember how
you loved me
hand in hand, eyes locked
once upon a silver screen?
and if I told you that I’ve loved you
since then; heart exposed
naked and shivering
while raindrops raised cold chills
upon my skin;
what then?
would you offer your love at last
…or just your umbrella?
