Image for the poem Diana

Diana

Flash goes off
My life is extinguished

Lasting in my floating nightmares
Can’t come up for air

Coulda been the queen
Living fairytale dreams

Instead twisted and bleeding
In the back of an Audi

Vultures on the kill
Snapping to feed the till

Piranha on the flesh
Down to bone
