Is Ignorance Always So Bliss? (Collab w/ Vision_of_insanity)
Slithering on their bellies out in old L.A.
Superficial elite’s invade artificial minds
Wilting souls exposed in shades of grey
Contractual red tape is the tie that binds
Throw a few crumpled bills in their face
They eat the bait right off the hook
Executives laugh, as these soulless souls try and compromise
They beg, as their lives are ruined
Heavy scrutiny under a public spotlight
Another fallen angel drowning in disgrace
The hunter is now hunted in such delight
When death arrives wearing a familiar face
Listen to the lines fall out of their mouths
How many times have you heard this
They need you to make a profit or else

This is great, both of you! I feel like you collaborate quite well together. It melds seamlessly into an almost punk rock or anti-government type of thing, which is great. Seems to be fluent in both of your styles. Good give and take in morality and metaphor, with some of the direction and transition. As someone who shares similar perspective, this is much appreciated when I read it. Thanks for sharing!
