The Undead Denizens

With a social poison now in the mind
and coursing through the body politic
of each trash talking smash mouth Tom and Dick...
can our ecology be far behind?  
 
And half the planet is already dead
but if it doesn't fuck with a commute
then the pollution must not be acute...
at least enough for folks to use their head.  
 
Thusly people have never been sheeple
but more like zombies in search of more brains
that are only used for pleasure and pains
anesthetized by the nearest steeple...
long now in the shade of national banks
and an electorate...in torpid ranks.
