Nella mia Faccia
sitting upon a fence
gazing out from sorrowed eyes
feeling downcast, somewhat bent
no answer to the why’s
i see your face
your smile a grace
left to help me feel
to prop me up
renew my hope
to stop me falling
beneath some wheel
words and sounds
that I repeat are
empty of the pain
that is 'missing you'
but yet I voice them
to the air
on some prayer
they might find you
from on this fence
i regard the sun
dropping slowing in the sky
the wind picks up
and stirs the air
bringing dust drops to my eye
if there be a god
they say see it in the wind
if it does not drive you mad
it might just leave you blind
no voice answers within this space
alone the wind caresses my face
gazing out from sorrowed eyes
feeling downcast, somewhat bent
no answer to the why’s
i see your face
your smile a grace
left to help me feel
to prop me up
renew my hope
to stop me falling
beneath some wheel
words and sounds
that I repeat are
empty of the pain
that is 'missing you'
but yet I voice them
to the air
on some prayer
they might find you
from on this fence
i regard the sun
dropping slowing in the sky
the wind picks up
and stirs the air
bringing dust drops to my eye
if there be a god
they say see it in the wind
if it does not drive you mad
it might just leave you blind
no voice answers within this space
alone the wind caresses my face
