Pie
You're like a perfect slice of pie dividing my life.
Like diabetes, God is giving me, if I make you my wife.
Sweeter than Blue Bell ice cream with a cherry on top.
You bring the warmth out of me that I thought that had stopped.
The sun shines brighter when you sing on the phone.
And the past stays the past when I dream of not being alone.
I met you over twenty years ago and we recently reignited this flame.
Building on something that the Marine Corps had destroyed and untamed.
You make this world easier to live each second of the day.
I look forward to tomorrow what more can I say.
