Every Tyme
Every time I touched you
The trembling within me felt like God running His fingers across my soul
Your caress brought my spirit to life
Like B.B. King's hands upon the strings of Lucille made music from thin air
Contact with you flooded my heart with beautiful feelings which never fully faded
even when the touching stopped
Mind kept full of beautiful thoughts
Brain and body,
both looking anxiously forward
to the next time the touching would begin
I knew
that what was in me was something good
Just didn't know how good until you showed me
Once you touched me
I discovered a magic I never knew existed
Yes, I knew exactly what I had gotten
could feel it on me,
slickening my skin
and could smell it,
tangibly scenting the air between us
Yet had no real clue what I actually had beside me
(like discovering that my "white gold" herringbone was actually made of straight platinum)
(like searching a coal mine
and finding that the shimmer beneath that anthracite was actually a nature-made diamond)
"You" were that "secret" ingredient
Shaken into my simmering broth
Soaking into the tender meat
And flavoring it all
in that way only you could
Drifting down and seasoning me
Making delicious everything that was in my pot
Settling in and permeating
Then stirred, slowly, up from the bottom
Spreading your savory taste throughout every drip/drop
New aromas bubbling up eagerly in this freshly made stew
rising, arousing, enticing
Calling to my appetite, my adoration, and love
My secret magic no longer hidden (from you at least)
Close to the surface
Seeking your presence
Ready to be dipped by your spoon
At that first touch from you
I discovered what was missing
And now,
at every touch,
I feel God stroke my soul
