Serial quitter
Now that she was calmer,
she looked at the sun
and decided to walk away from there.
She felt unobserved,
as if her existence had no
any greater interest to any other being.
She found that silence strange,
nothing in the air or coming from the nearby forest,
she didn't associate all this with the absence
of songs and chirps in the hot afternoon.
She remained distracted...
Without even noticing that the path
was paved with thousands
and thousands of heads ripped off from birds.
