The Girl Inside of Her

That little girl is still inside of her,
still needing the touch of affection
from a father distracted by his own desire.
Wooing her, I hoped that I might be
a portion of her father, letting her know
she is a wonderful young woman, unique in her beauty.

But when I entered her, I did not enter
as a father but as a man consumed with lust.
She must have sensed my hunger.
At the moment of my coming, she gasped.

Her her eyes held tears at their edge.
Did she cry because of the loss
of innocence or because the desires
of her young heart were being fulfilled?

Author's Note
A poem by Faithmairee reminded me of a young woman I knew. She was troubled but still so beautiful.
