Affixed with fire— with Adagio

Faded quips of the wanton liar
Swelling lines affixed with fire
Gone to ashes of cooling char
From a distance spreading far
Bated breath, alas to be
Until he sipped catastrophe
You splayed the spool of tethers line
And made the fool drink poisoned wine
From the flesh of tainted brine
As the dark permits decline
Under, at last, the tailors spell
Distressed and cruel; a lot like hell
Tasting the silent Methamphetamine
Of the dark's mescaline
