The Luscious Field

In this luscious field
I have been living
Flowers bloom
Colors consume
My senses yield
To lust’s misgiving

Roses of all color
Want me to bed
Do I have to pick
They all seem to prick
When I want to poller
Or am I being misled

Should I go for a Red
The color of my blood
A rose which just said
Come to me instead
I want you to flood
My throbbing bud

Or do I wait to garner
A sensual deceiving Lilly
The fairest of the white
An angle of delight
A passionate charmer
Or am I just being silly

Suddenly I’m pulled asunder
By a dark purple velvet
Could she be the one
To make my heart undone
As I hear the thunder
Of a whip and a painful threat

Then I drift toward a light
A sunflower that cries
As it screams and echos
I’m the brightest of the yellows
I’m the one you can not fight
My charms nor my cunning lies

Lost in this luscious field
How can I keep living
When I should be in a tomb
Or among flowers in a room
My senses I can not shield
So I surrender to lust so willing
