I See You
No longer denied
The demons in your past
Self made, invited in, long known
Trespassers you despise
Cold like old lovers
Deserters that don’t belong
The tangle of decisions that remain
Despite the years between
You got the right to die
Reconcile what’s in your heart
Cause what was has no place to stay
Nothing left to say
But I recognize who you are
So much better then what you were
Wicked as it is
For those who share
Your sin has little to deprive
Strange and bereft
Gotta exorcise
What doesn’t belong
The anomalies you don’t like
Emerging once again
You got the right to die
Reconcile what’s in your heart
Cause what was has no place to stay
Nothing left to say
But I recognize what you are
So much better then what you were
It’s yours and alive
A nightmare held the door
Tragedy sprung and not foreseen
The lair of deceit, tossed
Old wounds settled
Born grim but healed in this
A destroyer learning to create again
Voracious but stronger still
The demons in your past
Self made, invited in, long known
Trespassers you despise
Cold like old lovers
Deserters that don’t belong
The tangle of decisions that remain
Despite the years between
You got the right to die
Reconcile what’s in your heart
Cause what was has no place to stay
Nothing left to say
But I recognize who you are
So much better then what you were
Wicked as it is
For those who share
Your sin has little to deprive
Strange and bereft
Gotta exorcise
What doesn’t belong
The anomalies you don’t like
Emerging once again
You got the right to die
Reconcile what’s in your heart
Cause what was has no place to stay
Nothing left to say
But I recognize what you are
So much better then what you were
It’s yours and alive
A nightmare held the door
Tragedy sprung and not foreseen
The lair of deceit, tossed
Old wounds settled
Born grim but healed in this
A destroyer learning to create again
Voracious but stronger still
