Reminiscing

Morning sounds,
The wind howls
In a smooth tone
I am not alone
I face each day
By the bay
In a house on stilts
Breathing in the ocean air
Wondering if you’re still there
The kind sea
Much like a lost memory
I hold on
For I was very fond
A cup of coffee in hand
I had plans
Obligations,
All moving in a swift clockwork rotation
I stare at a raging sea
I wonder if you miss me
