He Said If You Enjoyed It, It's Not Rape
He said if you enjoyed it, it's not rape,
as if laughter could drown the echoes of pain,
as if joy could erase the scars left behind,
turning trauma into shadows, whispering blame.
He said if you enjoyed it, don’t be dramatic,
a hollow laugh that masked the cruel truth,
but countless souls wear this heavy disguise,
fighting for light, struggling for proof.
He said if you enjoyed it, be grateful instead,
as if suffering were something we should embrace,
but every smile that hides a heartache
is a mask worn by many, each lost in this race.
He said if you enjoyed it, stop playing the victim,
but how do you silence the screams in your chest?
When bodies remember what minds want to forget,
it’s a battle for peace, a desperate quest.
He said if you enjoyed it, it was your choice,
but desire isn’t consent, it’s a tangled game,
and the weight of those words crushes the brave,
turning pleasure to shackles, igniting the flame.
He said if you enjoyed it, don’t make it so heavy,
as if the truth could simply vanish like air,
but the silence is thick with the stories untold,
the countless who suffer, the burdens we bear.
He said if you enjoyed it, you must have wanted,
but too many hide bruises beneath their skin,
and as they fight through the shadows of shame,
they seek to reclaim the strength deep within.
He said if you enjoyed it, it’s all in your head,
but the pain is a river that flows through our veins,
and while some may struggle to find their own voice,
there’s power in knowing we’re not alone in our chains.
