Image for the poem Dark

Dark

Don't even try to hide it.
The dark knows your fear.
Quite intimately my dear.
Upon the ghastly path to terror's pit.
Into the heart of horror,
the darkness will steer.
Your circuits to a safe reality blown.
Reality is really darkness's shadow.
Take you worst chilling fear,
and worsen it.
A beast in a maniac fit.
Not human or animal,
But a demonic bull.
The unfed dark hungers
with agony's ache.
A bloody beating heart
would surely satiate.
How about yours?
